MYO Concert - Today at 3:00

The Metropolitan Youth Orchestra & Magic City Youth Orchestra final concert of the inaugural season is at the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame (Carver Theater) today at 3 pm. It will include a premier of a piece by local composer Gary Smoke, concerto competition winner Elisha Benjamin, pieces conducted by MYO member David Bloom and Scrollworks teacher Darnell Patton, and the results of the international remix contest.

Admission is $5, 12 and under free. A photography exhibit and sale will be held in the museum, and The Left Hand will sell handcrafted soap to benefit Scrollworks. A CD photo album of the orchestras' year and a CD compilation of the remix contest will also be available for purchase.

Please come to support these wonderful young musicians. All proceeds go to Scrollworks and the Metropolitan Youth Orchestras of Central Alabama.
